How did I spend summer? Well, in chronological order from the last day of school:
-Worked a food stand during a parish festival for one week from 6pm~12pm.
-Attended a Summer Pre-calculus Enrichment course for one month. (Days were spent going to NBC's Today show early in the morning from 7AM-8:30AM, class from 9AM-12PM, Random hanging out/lunch in Manhattan from 12:30PM-3PM, homework and studying from 4:30PM-6PM, wash and repeat)
-SAT studying for one week
-Vacation to Niagara Falls, NY for a few days
-SAT II Studying
-AP Bio HW for one week (Covering five chapters, about 30 questions each. 15 questions a day for four days, and then a chapter a day hyper-push for three chapters. Ended up with 24 pages of Q&A, single spaced)
-AP Bio studying
-Summer Reading of No Country for Old Men, Iliad, and Odyssey (in that order) spread out at random intervals
Eventful, but only satisfactory. Due to an unforeseen family problem, my Mom has gone back to the Philippines for one week, and I wasn't able to take my driving test this summer. Guess I'll have to wait until she comes back so she can tell me where the papers disappeared to -.-
It always feels like summer is too short, doesn't it? :-\ Now I've gotta do some final studying for upcoming AP Bio and AP English tests. And prepare my schoolbag. And get a haircut, which is a pity because I rather like having long hair (especially the sideburns) but JROTC does not permit it. Hey, I'd take the short haircut+the ability to spout orders at subordinates over long hair+no advantage any day
In other news, I still have to find a direction to go with college. I wonder why I'm so indecisive. I wanted to go for a lawyer when I was younger, but when i got older I realized that the basis of this decision was basically unsupported/without reason. Maybe money. But after realizing that being a lawyer doesn't fit my personality at all, I'm leaning toward the sciences. I like space (can't you tell by the art?) but have never taken physics, and have less than expected grades (high 80s) in math. Perhaps I'll go more in depth on this at a later time.
Off to study now...
